The Problem

Beauty Boutique 54 is a beauty salon in Cooper City who had a limited online presence other than their website, Facebook page and Yelp listing. Rachelle, the owner, understood that in order for the salon to grow and succeed she needed to invest in online marketing. As a result of this, she contacted us to help her grow your online brand, increase website traffic and online leads.

The Results

From September 15 (which is when we began our campaign) to December 31st, we were able to increase website traffic by 678% through the help of SEO and social media marketing which produced an online conversion rate of 13%. This led Beauty Boutique 54 to generate 15% more in overall sales for the salon than the previous periods; this is an average monthly revenue growth of 4%.

Optimize Website for Search Engines

On-Page Optimization

We wanted to target the Cooper City market so we made sure to optimize the website’s title tags, meta descriptions, heading tags, alt tags and content to include the local focus keywords we were targeting. This helped coincide with the SEO tactics we were implementing which allowed us to increase the search traffic to www.beautyboutique54.com.

Telling Google We Exist

We verified the website with Google through Webmaster Tools, submitted a sitemap and made sure that all pages were being properly indexed and there were no primary pages/urls that led to 404 pages. This is an important step to the success of any marketing campaign .

Updating Existing Content

When we first began working with the website there was limited content. So our first step was to improve upon the content by adding more information that could answer any initial questions the audience may have upon landing on the page and through this step we were able to uncover internal linking opportunities to help improve upon our SEO.

Local SEO Optimization

Building Local Citations

The first thing we did was create a Google My Business page for the business, this helped us begin to rank in the local map which generated over 200 calls from visitors who clicked on the map listing. We then proceeded to sign up for other local citations on a monthly basis to help build a strong backlink profile for the website.

Push For Reviews

We explained to the salon the importance of gaining reviews across different platforms, especially Yelp and Google. The generation of positive reviews has helped influence consumer spending, which has therefore increased brand authority and trust within the Cooper City area.

Boost Social Media Traffic

Gaining More Followers

We implemented a simple yet effective social media marketing plan for Facebook and Instagram to consistently showcase the salon services and culture on a weekly basis. We used images to engage their current followers and attract new ones, as well as hashtags to increase their reach beyond the current following. Facebook followers increased by 19% and Instagram increased by 52%.

Promoting The Website & Brand

We used branded images to showcase hair and makeup services which have been our main two focuses for this time period. Every Facebook post also contained its appropriate link in the text ad to help segue the follower back to the website for more information or to book an appointment.

Increase Brand Awareness & Authority

Each image post that was created for social media had their logo and personal hashtag; this is done to help imprint the brand into their follower’s mind. We also created beauty tips posts to help build up our authority and showcased featured products held in house to help push product sales – product sales increased by 27%.

Increase & Track Website Conversion

Adding Tracking Events

We added a “Make An Appointment” button in every page which led to their MindBody profile, and added a tracking event to the button to be able to properly calculate the clicks of the button to actually scheduling an appointment. We added their phone number to the header of the website and added mobile call tracking to be able to track some calls.

Updating Page Layout

We added new conversion elements to the page to entice the visitor to either call or click the button to schedule an appointment. We updated headers and content layout and emphasis to make it easier to read. These minor changes plus others have helped us reduce www.beautyboutique54.com’s bounce rate by 32% and increase online conversion by 300%.
